If you remember back to last Summer, I posted my opposition to the Trump Administration’s practice of sending Federal agents into places like Portland, Seattle, and Minneapolis without a request from the duly elected Mayor of the community.
Now, the Biden Administration wants to send in “Federal Strike Forces” to “stop illegal gun trafficking across state lines.” I oppose this as well (although, I do believe a case could possibly be made that this is technically legal because the “crime crosses state lines.” ) because of my federalist stance, and that pesky Constitution that contains the Second Amendment.
You see, I am a Federalist. I believe in Federalism. I believe this nation was founded as a federated republic. After all, the very name of this nation is the United States of America, not just America.
Federalism limits the power of the Federal Government—a very good thing to my way of thinking. You may disagree, and that’s you’re right, but let’s at least be honest about the two parties: they both want to exert Federal control over US, and that’s something I oppose and hope you do too.
What Say Ye?
